On May 15, 2019, the Chair of Law at the International Humanitarian and Technical University (Shymkent), jointly with the Eurasian Human Rights Center Private Foundation, with the support of the Non-profit Joint-Stock Company “Center for Support of Civil Initiatives” and the Ministry of Information and Public Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, held a seminar in the framework of the grant on the topic: “Increasing the level of interaction of NGOs with government agencies on the protection of the rights of citizens.” The aim of the seminar is to increase the legal literacy of socially vulnerable groups of the population, government officials and other stakeholders.
The experts were – Candidate of Law, Consultant of the Private Foundation “Eurasian Human Rights Center”, Associate Professor at the Eurasian National University named after L.N. Gumilyov – Saktaganova I.S., Candidate of Law, Consultant of the Private Foundation “Eurasian Human Rights Center”, Associate Professor at the Eurasian National University named after L.N. Gumilyov – Omarova E.B., Candidate of Law, Head of the Chair of “Law” of the International Humanitarian-Technical University – Bizhan N.R.
The seminar reviewed the reports on the topic: “The achievements of Kazakhstan in the social sphere during the years of independence under the leadership of Elbasy – N.A. Nazarbayev ”,“ Review and explanation of legislation regulating state assistance to socially vulnerable groups of population ”,“ On the amount of social payments from April 1, 2019 ”.In the second part of the seminar, experts provided legal advice on various areas of law for socially vulnerable groups of the population and other interested parties.
